I was brought on to capture content at the FIFA Fan Fest in Philadelphia during Governor Shapiro's visit, shooting live for both personal portfolio use and the Governor's social channels. Working a high-profile event like this was new territory — navigating around detail, staff, press, and the public while staying out of the way of the Governor's own dedicated photographer meant learning on the fly where to stand and how to move without disrupting a tightly mapped-out schedule. Knowing I might not get another chance to shoot the Governor at a sports event, I kept moving to capture a range of angles beyond the standard press shots, focusing on detail moments and candid interactions to tell a more documentary-style story rather than the typical official photo. The photos were used across a handful of the Governor's social graphics promoting the Fan Fest, but the bigger win was personal — it was my first time working in a live photojournalism environment, and it sharpened instincts I hadn't had to use before.
