Description
This was my first major project with the Governor's office: designing the cover and supporting social graphics for the 2026-27 budget, timed to America's 250th anniversary. The brief called for something that stood out from the office's past budget covers, which had always been simple and text-heavy, while still reading as official — a tricky balance given how visible the budget rollout is across the Commonwealth. I built the identity around the 250th anniversary theme, using it to carry policy content — minimum wage comparisons, cannabis legalization, budget signings — that's normally dry and hard to make people stop and read. The approach paid off: individual posts in the series pulled as high as 28.7K likes and 3,212 comments, well above typical engagement for policy-explainer content.
